  • Voting order priority.

    Curbside voting is ONLY available for voters physically unable to enter the polling place without the likelihood of needing personal assistance or injuring their health.

    1. Park in the parking spot designated specifically for curbside voting. (Be sure it is not the reserved handicap spot)
    2. Contact a clerk via telephone at 361/449-8034. (Be sure to disclose the polling location at which you are parked.)
    3. A clerk at that location will then bring the necessary equipment to the vehicle and process the voter.
    4. The Election Clerk will deliver the ballot and a secrecy envelope to the voter in the car.Once the ballot is voted, be sure to fold the ballot, place it in the secrecy envelope, and seal the envelope. The clerk will then place the envelope in the locked and sealed ballot box.
    5. At the end of the evening, just before polls are closed for the day, the clerk will feed all curbside ballots into the ballot feeder.

    *RULES:

    • If other people are present in the vehicle, please keep in mind that the voter is NOT allowed to talk once the ballot is delivered, unless one of those persons is officially designated as an assistant to the voter and swears to the required Oath of Assistance PRIOR to assisting the voter.
    • Cell phones/cameras are NOT allowed and must remain turned off and out of sight once the clerk begins to process the voter until the ballot has been voted and delivered to the Election Clerk or voter’s assistant for deposit into the locked and sealed ballot box.

    La votación en la acera SOLO está disponible para los votantes que físicamente no pueden ingresar al lugar de votación sin la probabilidad de necesitar asistencia personal o dañar su salud.

    1. Estacione en el lugar de estacionamiento designado específicamente para votar en la acera. (Asegúrese de que no sea el lugar reservado para discapacitados)

    *REGLAS:

    1.     BALLOT BY MAIL/FPCA INFORMATION

    Absentee Ballot by Mail (ABBM) must be applied for annually.  You may call our Election Office at 361/449-8034 to request an application by mail to you or printable application can be printed here

    La boleta de voto en ausencia por correo (ABBM) debe solicitarse anualmente.  Puede llamar a nuestra Oficina de Elecciones al 361/449-8034 para solicitar una solicitud por correo o la  solicitud imprimible se puede imprimir aquíAsegúrese de enviar un correo a Live Oak County Elections, P.O. Box 280, George West, TX 78022.

    Reasons for Voting by Mail:

    • 65 years of age or older
    • Disability-voter has a sickness or physical condition that prevents the voter from appearing at the polling place on Election Day without a likelihood of needing personal assistance or of injuring the voter’s health.
    • Expected to give birth within three weeks before or after Election Day
    • Expected absence from the county-must provide out of county address
    • Confinement in jail

    For Military/Overseas voters: FPCA Application

    Effective December 1, 2017, if an ABBM is faxed or emailed or if an FPCA is faxed, then the applicant must submit the ORIGINAL application BY MAIL to the early voting clerk so that it is received no later than the 4th business day after receiving the original ABBM or FPCA.
