The Kinney County Grant Writers are:
Candy Hobbs and Alma Gutierrez
Alma Gutierrez and Candy Hobbs both hold a Masters Degree in Education from Sul Ross State University. Each raised their families in the community of Brackettville, Texas and served on many committees and in local organizations. Their partnership began 25 years ago as teachers and continues today as Grant Writers. Their mission is to help Kinney County in obtaining grant funding to strengthen the existence of all who reside therein. Both grant writers are certified Grant Administrators and Planning Services Providers through the Texas Department of Agriculture.
